Paolo Ulian

By Jacqueline Savory

Ulian sees the process of design is embedded through the processes of observing and understanding the needs of people along with the environments that people find themselves in that the best solutions will emerge. One aspect that makes Ulian stand out is that he considers the implication of human interaction with the object. Another element of Ulian’s work is his focus on reuse and renewal of objects and how new items can be created or repaired. He strongly believes that objects need to last longer and can be easily repaired and should be an urgently necessity in design and manufacturing.
