Gio Ponti

By Jonathan Lo

Gio Ponti was one of the pioneers of Italian Design. As the first person to master the realms of art, design and architecture, he moved with great freedom between these disciplines and worked in different scales as well. He was the founder of Domus, which became influential and sparked discourse amongst intellects and creatives. This presentation looks into the role that Ponti held in establishing the structure of Italian Design in the years after World War II. It also looks into his prominent works.
