Italo Rota was born in 1953 in Milan and graduated from the Milan Polytechnic Institute in 1982. Rota has been involved in many projects ranging in scale in locations both in Italy and around the globe. Italo Rota views architecture as a narrative – a derivative from his passion for theater and set design. Architecture can exist as a process in which it appears as a montage or narrative sequence of overlapping plot lines.  His talent for creating highly sense stimulating spaces is most recognized in his ability to harmonize color, shapes, and atmospheres.  This treatment appears very contemporary and modern, though many of the projects he has worked on have a historical connection and previous use. Diego Terna is a senior architect at Studio Italo Rota and supervised the Boscolo Hotel project in Milan.
